C. DANIEL

   C.  DANIEL  stands  for  Chen  Daniel.

We  all  know  a  fact  that  the  violin-makers  and  bow-makers  talk  little  to  each  other.  However,  as  a  violin-maker  with  playing  back  ground  Daniel  Chen  has  always  a  strong  interest  in  bow-making  too.

By  the  year  2005,  Daniel  Chen  has  altogether  made  157  violin  bows,  47viola  bows  and  12  cello  bows.  The  same  year  he  participated  in  the  Bow  Making  Class  at  New  Hampshire  University.  Under  the  instruction  of  Lynn  Hannings,  he  mastered  the  French  Bow  Making  Tradition.  Since  then,  his  passion  for  bow-making  has  been  boiling.  Now,  he  makes  about  24  violin  bows,  6  viola  bows  and  2  cellos  bows  a  year.

Bows  with  the  stamp  C.  DANIEL,  is  his  own  symbolized  style.  It  can  trace  the  influence  mainly  from  Voirin  &  Hill  &  Sons.  Daniel  Chen’s  aim  is,  besides  workmanship,  C.  DANIEL  bows  should  be  better  than  any  other  bows  in  performing  ability.  As  a  matter  as  fact,  quite  a  number  of  musicians  who  though  possess  a  Vuilaume  or  Sartory,  prefer  C.  DANIEL  bows.

Try  C.  DANIEL  bows  once,  you  are  the  highest  authority  to  tell  the  difference.
